Description
Each Oral tablet of Fioricet contains the following
Butalbital 50mg
Acetaminophen 325mg
Caffeine 40mg
Contradictions
You should not use this product if you have following problems
Intolerence or Hypersensitivity to any of the content of this product.
Patients suffering from Porphyria.
How to take Butalbital
Butalbital should be taken as directed by your family doctor or Pharmacist.
Take this medicine with water. Taking it with food or milk is ok unless it upsets your stomach.
Do not take more than prescribed dosage. If you feel no relief in your pain after taking this medication we suggest you to see your doctor.
Side Effects
Butalbital can cause Drowsiness, Dizziness, Lightheadedness, stomach upset, sleeping disorders and Nausea for a few days of starting this medication.
If you experience irregular heartbeat, consult your doctor immediately.
Some symptoms of allergic interaction includes Itching, Rash, Swelling, Drowsiness, Dizziness and Trouble Breathing.
Precautions
Do not share your medicine with someone who is not prescribed for it.
Overdose and Missed Dose
If you think you have overdosed Butalbital contact your doctor immediately. You may find some symptoms of overdose which includes Vomiting, Stomach pain, Drowsiness, Irregular heartbeat, Extreme Fatigue and Tinted Urine.
If you miss a dose take is as soon as you remember, do not take it if it is almost the time for your next dose as it can cause overdosage instead use your usual dosage do not double it.
Storage
Butalbital should be stored in room temperature at cool and dry place.
Do not keep it in bathroom and away from the reach of children.
Drug Interaction
Tell your doctor if you have any allergies from any medication.
Inform your doctor if you have any underlying disease including Kidney and Liver problems.
Tell your doctors if you use any other medications including pain killers, sedatives or any blood thinners.
